We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Management Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the growth and customer engagement of card customers throughout their lifecycle, ensuring balanced growth addressing credit, operations, compliance, and service delivery risks.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cards product/portfolio management, with at least 10 years of experience. They will be fluent in English and possess excellent communication skills. A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is required, with an advanced degree or MBA being preferred.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Managing portfolio growth and customer engagement throughout the lifecycle of a card customer.
- Ensuring balanced growth addressing credit, operations, compliance, and service delivery risks.
- Designing and developing best-in-class portfolio programs based on local needs and co-creating globally scalable solutions with the central team.
- Managing the delivery of regulatory changes so that they are delivered timely with seamless client experience and in a cost-effective manner.
- Supporting the development and implementation of strategies to grow the credit card portfolio in line with business targets.
- Supporting initiatives related to customer engagement and balance build, including end-to-end management of campaigns across channels to grow spends and balances.
- Supporting the credit card installment plans strategy, including design and construction of payment plans, implementation of an effective sales strategy, and optimizing revenues.
- Working with marketing and analytics teams on customer segmentation to promote usage of credit cards to existing customers.
- Helping to retain profitable customers and working with relevant teams for the implementation of a robust customer retention strategy.
- Reviewing consumer behavior and market trends to identify improvement opportunities for client engagement through tactical campaigns, market research, competitor analysis, and industry trends, staying up to date with regulatory requirements.
- Helping to manage the financial performance of the credit card portfolio, developing financial forecasts and budgets, monitoring actual performance vs. targets, and identifying opportunities to mitigate any headwinds.
- Regularly assessing the performance of the credit card portfolio, analyzing usage patterns, evaluating profitability, monitoring customer feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Working closely with relevant teams to ensure that digital platforms are working as per the product construct, working along with the digital team on the optimization of the customer journey for a better customer experience.
- Focusing on enhancing the customer experience throughout the customer lifecycle, identifying pain points, and implementing initiatives to improve customer engagement and loyalty.
- Engaging with relevant stakeholders for effective governance and robust controls around portfolio programs and processes.
- Constantly evolving KPIs and performance dashboards that are aligned to strategic business objectives and can help senior management in decision-making.
- Managing feedback/issues/complaints involving credit cards business.
- Collaborating with stakeholders across risk management, operations, marketing, retail, analytics, technology, legal and compliance, external partners supporting portfolio programs.
KPIs:
- Increase in card activation rates.
- Growth in card spend (domestic and international).
- Effectiveness of promotional campaigns in increasing card utilization.
- Development of new beneficial partnerships.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant experience of 10+ years in cards product/portfolio management.
- Regional experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
- Fluent local office language and English required, other languages desirable.
- Comfortable with significant client interaction and interest in building relationships.
