Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commis I to join our culinary team. This role is responsible for preparing special meals, regulating oven temperatures, and ensuring proper food presentation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare special meals or substitute items according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters to ensure optimal cooking conditions.
  • Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator, maintaining accurate records of inventory.
  • Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and garnish of food dishes.
  • Maintain food logs to track inventory and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.

Requirements:
  • Technical, trade, or vocational school degree in culinary arts or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of related work experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • No supervisory experience required, but strong leadership skills are a plus.
  • Licenses or certifications: none required.
