Key Responsibilities

The Interface Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Managing and coordinating interfaces between contractors, consultants, client teams, utility providers, and government authorities.
  • Maintaining and updating the interface register and ensuring timely follow-up on all interface actions.
  • Identifying, monitoring, and resolving interface issues across different project phases (design, construction, commissioning).
  • Facilitating regular interface coordination meetings and preparing minutes and action plans.
  • Reviewing and assessing design documents and interface points for potential conflicts or overlaps.
  • Ensuring alignment of interface activities with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Supporting the technical team with engineering assessments and interface reviews.
  • Coordinating the submission and approval of interface-related documents.
  • Providing regular reports on interface status, risks, and mitigation measures to the project management team.
  • Ensuring interface activities comply with HSE and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or port-related projects, with a strong background in interface management.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle, design and construction processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, interface tracking tools, and project management software.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Must be an Omani national.
