Job Title: Stewarding Operations Manager

The stewarding operations manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily activities of the stewarding team. This includes ensuring the cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food preparation areas.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of stewards and dishwashers to maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene.
  • Develop and implement effective schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to optimize workflow and productivity.
  • Train and mentor stewarding team members on safety protocols, operational procedures, and customer service standards.
  • Maintain inventory control of cleaning supplies, equipment, and utensils to ensure seamless operation.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with procurement to replenish stock and manage inventory levels.
  • Support kitchen and banquet operations by ensuring timely availability of clean tools and utensils.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in hospitality or sanitation is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in stewarding, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; knowledge of sanitation standards; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
