The Duty Engineer is a critical role within the engineering department, responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain proper and safe condition of all Plant, Plant Rooms, Equipment and Work areas.
  • Comply with all Fire, Life, Health, and Safety Standards.
  • Be conversant with the Hotel Emergency Procedures.
  • Perform Emergency Response Team duties as required.

In addition to these key responsibilities, the Duty Engineer will also:

  • Maintain personal presentation in a clean, neat, and tidy manner.
  • Be courteous and professional when dealing with Guests and fellow Staff Members.
  • Assist Guests, Patrons, and Fellow Staff Members as appropriate.
  • Undertake specific duties and projects when assigned.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with technical details of all Plant and Services relating to the Hotel, and will have experience working shifts as designated. They will also be able to maintain, repair, check and record equipment relating to various aspects of hotel operations.

Requirements
  • Fully support all learning and development activities.
  • Ensure colleagues' career path and development needs are prioritized and documented.
  • Hold monthly meetings with all colleagues to provide a forum for voicing concerns and sharing departmental and hotel information.
