Role Overview

  • A key role that involves maintaining cleanliness and presentation in a hotel environment.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation throughout all areas of the hotel.

  1. Deliver exceptional guest service and ensure a warm welcome to guests upon arrival.
  2. Manage and maintain cleaning schedules and tasks, including setting up work trolleys, caddies and other equipment as required.
  3. Carry out established procedures for cleaning and setting up guest rooms, following set standards and guidelines.
  4. Organise and maintain linen, wardrobe and laundry storage areas, including uniform exchange and inventory management.
  5. Be involved in housekeeping machinery maintenance and ensure chemicals are used according to established standards.
  6. Contribute to the overall cleanliness and presentation of public areas, including polishing, vacuuming, scrubbing, mopping and dusting.
  7. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning or room attendant roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cleaning techniques, products and modern housekeeping equipment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering superior standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Understanding of laundry care, including specialist fabrics, garment steaming and stain removal.
  • Clear and respectful communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
