Job Title: Assistant Chief Engineer

 

About the Job:

The Assistant Chief Engineer will report to the Director of Engineering and be responsible for managing all corrective and preventive maintenance work through the Computerized Maintenance Management System.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews preventive maintenance tasks and yearly work schedules for all equipment, ensuring that they are updated regularly taking into consideration revised regulations from Local Authorities, Corporate Standards as well as input from the Engineering Team.
  • Takes accountability in establishing key programs in the engineering department as per standards.
  • Manages Central Utility Maintenance, Security system Maintenance, Fire and life safety maintenance, and Project/Capex work execution.
  • Responsible for maintaining records, reports, and documentation of all preventive maintenance activities.
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment within engineering areas.
  • Ensures adherence to Environment/Sustainability guidelines.
  • Contributes ideas in finding solutions for daily operational issues within the Engineering Department.
  • Maintains good relationships with Guests, other Departments, and fellow Technicians.

 

Departmental Information:

The job falls under the Maintenance and Operations departments.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in engineering and maintenance management.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage the team effectively.
  • Able to establish strong working relationships with colleagues and external partners.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
