Senior Planning Engineer

We are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Planning Engineer to join our team in Oman. This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to work on challenging projects and develop their skills further.

About the Role:
  1. The Senior Planning Engineer will act as the main advisor to Project Managers and Directors, providing guidance on planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  2. This will involve dealing with progress management, delays, corrective actions, and claims.
  3. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying the content of weekly and monthly progress reports according to client requirements.
  4. Additionally, they will support the claims team when needed and create information collection systems to ensure data accuracy.
  5. The Senior Planning Engineer will also provide input on issues related to issuing the baseline schedule, such as project structure, activity codes, logical sequencing, linking, and level of detail.
  6. They will control liquidity damages and suggest appropriate measures.
  7. The successful candidate will identify critical paths and changes affecting them during progress updates, providing visibility to areas of concern and delays.
  8. Furthermore, they will analyze progress and delays using accurate measurement systems and recommend corrective actions like re-sequencing to meet milestones.
Skill Set Required:
  • A Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required for this position.
  • Previous airport experience is essential, and 10-15 years of postgraduate estimating experience are necessary.
  • The ideal candidate should have the ability to manage projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong teamwork and multitasking skills are also essential.
  • Ability to summarize detailed work into concise executive briefs is a must-have skill for this role.
