Contract Negotiator

Hydrom's Contract Negotiator is responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating critical contracts for green hydrogen projects in Oman. The successful candidate will ensure business alignment with stakeholders, compliance with regulatory frameworks, risk mitigation, and value maximization.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts including usufruct, power purchase agreements (PPAs), supply agreements, and partnership agreements.
  • Guarantee all contracts comply with local and international legal and regulatory requirements, particularly in the renewable energy and hydrogen sectors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align contract terms with project and organizational goals.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders to negotiate favorable terms.
  • Identify potential risks in contracts and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual disputes and resolutions.
  • Stay updated on policies, regulations, and legal frameworks governing green hydrogen and renewable energy.
  • Ensure all contracts adhere to environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Oversee contract execution to ensure compliance with agreed terms and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain a contract management system for tracking obligations, deliverables, and key milestones.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in law, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or legal certification (e.g., LLM, contract law specialization) is preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in contract management, preferably in renewable energy, infrastructure, or hydrogen projects.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, high-value contracts in a global environment.
  • In-depth understanding of contract law, project finance, and commercial agreements.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in contract management tools and software.
  • Familiarity with hydrogen production technologies, supply chain logistics, and related industries is highly desirable.
