Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operations Manager to oversee and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of drilling operations. This role involves strategic planning, supervision of rig operations, and ensuring compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance drilling performance.

  • Supervise daily rig operations and ensure adherence to QHSE regulations.

  • Manage budgeting and financial planning for drilling activities.

  • Coordinate maintenance and planning for drilling equipment to ensure integrity and reliability.

  • Prepare tenders and contracts for drilling projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Lead client coordination efforts to maintain strong communication and resolve issues promptly.

  • Oversee team leadership and skill development initiatives to ensure high performance.

  • Conduct performance appraisals for team members to foster professional growth.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the drilling sector.

  • Proven track record of effectively managing drilling operations and teams.

  • Relevant certifications in QHSE management and project management preferred.
