The role of a Guest Service Agent - Front Office entails providing exceptional reception services to guests from check-in through check-out. This involves completing audits as required, ensuring an efficient and timely resolution of guest queries, and maintaining knowledge of hotel room categories, rates, packages, and general hotel information.
Key Responsibilities- Front Office Operations:
- Serve on the front office team, delivering excellent guest experiences.
- Achieve positive outcomes from guest queries in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Ensure seamless check-in and check-out processes, including audit procedures.
- Keep the reception manager informed of relevant guest feedback and departmental updates.
- Customer Service:
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills at all times.
- Attend training sessions and assist with the development of the night team.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel rooms, rates, packages, and promotions.
- Maximize room occupancy using effective up-selling techniques.
- Handle foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash according to hotel policies.
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and health and safety legislation.
- Technology and Systems:
- Operate front-of-house equipment and property management systems efficiently.
- Teamwork and Communication:
- Work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in IT systems is essential for success in this role.
