Job Summary

The role of a Guest Service Agent - Front Office entails providing exceptional reception services to guests from check-in through check-out. This involves completing audits as required, ensuring an efficient and timely resolution of guest queries, and maintaining knowledge of hotel room categories, rates, packages, and general hotel information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Office Operations:
  • Serve on the front office team, delivering excellent guest experiences.
  • Achieve positive outcomes from guest queries in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Ensure seamless check-in and check-out processes, including audit procedures.
  • Keep the reception manager informed of relevant guest feedback and departmental updates.
  • Customer Service:
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills at all times.
  • Attend training sessions and assist with the development of the night team.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel rooms, rates, packages, and promotions.
  • Maximize room occupancy using effective up-selling techniques.
  • Handle foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash according to hotel policies.
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and health and safety legislation.
  • Technology and Systems:
  • Operate front-of-house equipment and property management systems efficiently.
  • Teamwork and Communication:
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency in IT systems is essential for success in this role.
