Job Overview

The Commercial Manager - Butchery is a pivotal role that requires exceptional leadership and strategic planning skills. This position involves coordinating with buyers to source high-quality butchery products, while maintaining optimal stock levels and delivering training to butcher teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Source the finest meat products at competitive prices, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Nurture and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to drive business growth.
  • Oversee purchasing details, including order specifications and delivery schedules.
  • Deliver comprehensive training programs for butcher teams to enhance product knowledge and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct thorough cost scenario analysis and benchmarking to optimize sourcing efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends and supplier negotiation dynamics to inform procurement decisions.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement operations.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in sourcing for butchery.
  • Proven experience as a butcher is essential.
  • Experience in the retail industry is also required.
  • Excellent proficiency in English is necessary.
  • Strong negotiation skills are a must.
