Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive engineer to support the resident engineer in supervising and managing on-site construction activities.

The successful candidate will help ensure that works are executed in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant safety and quality standards.


Responsibilities
  • Assist the resident engineer in overseeing daily construction activities on-site.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and project standards.
  • Coordinate with site inspectors to ensure regular inspections are carried out and documented.
  • Review and comment on contractor submissions such as method statements, shop drawings, and material approvals.
  • Support progress monitoring, schedule adherence, and quality assurance measures.
  • Attend site coordination meetings and prepare minutes of meetings and site reports as required.
  • Help identify and resolve technical and construction issues in coordination with the resident engineer.
  • Ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Maintain project documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and correspondence logs.
  • Liaise with the contractor, client representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth progress of the project.
