Technology Expert

JOB PURPOSE

eCity for IT Services is seeking an organized, reliable, and driven Technology Expert to work as part of our IT team to be a responsible for delivering, provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, maintenance of systems hardware/software, any related infrastructure, client facing and customer support. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality service and excited by complex problems and challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and applications.
• Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.
• Manage server and network infrastructure, including hardware and software updates.
• Extensive Experience in Domain, ADDS, DNS, DHCP, Migration, Upgrade, & implantation.
• Extensive Experience in Exchange, Upgrade, Migration, & implantation.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control settings.
• Develop and maintain user guides and training materials.
• Implement and manage security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus, and patch management.
• Perform regular data backups and recovery operations.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and new software installations.
• Test and evaluate new technology to improve IT operations.
• Document IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide hands-on technical support to resolve system, software, and equipment issues.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware or software faults and system malfunctions.
• Document technical issues and provide detailed reports for future reference.
• Assist in the design and development of engineering solutions, systems, or products.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of systems or equipment.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure designs meet customer and business requirements.
• Provide technical training and guidance to clients or end-users.
• Address client concerns and ensure customer satisfaction with engineering solutions.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
• Participate in product development projects and prototype testing.
• Provide innovative solutions to enhance product offerings and technical processes.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assure to handle any extra tasks to be assigned by Project Manager in case of any shortage in resources or any tasks requested from Clients which been related to Technology Expert responsibilities.
• Assure to attend any meeting requested from Management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Educational Qualification

• Holder of IT Engineering and relevant

Language Skills

• Proficiency in written and spoken English, Arabic is preferred

Years of Experience

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience

Nature of Experience

• Ability to solve problems in stressful situations.

• Communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to inexperienced users.
• Time management skills.
• Microsoft Certification: MCSA, MCSE or MCITP Server Administrator.
• A thorough understanding of computer systems and software, particularly Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Office 365.
• Windows Server administration especially 2012 and above.
• A thorough understanding of Linux Ubuntu.
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
• A good working knowledge of Group Policies.
• Experience of administering Microsoft Exchange 2016 and above.
• An understanding of internet technologies including basic web-editing skills.
• A good understanding of Relational Database Management systems and Structured Query Language.
• A thorough knowledge of TCP/IP, LANs and WANs.
• A sound knowledge of computer hardware and diagnostics.
• A good understanding of virtualization e.g. VMware or HyperV.
• A good understanding of VoIP (voice over internet protocol) technology.
• Ability to communicate difficult concepts simply yet robustly.
• A thorough understanding of building and deploying laptop and desktop PCs using a standard image.
• Extensive SysAdmin experience.
• Full awareness of IT security standards and practice.
