Job Purpose
To manage the day-to-day functions of Financial Institutions Group (FIG) ensuring a high level of efficiency and profitability. Work closely with team members, coordinating closely with Trade Services, operations, Treasury, Risk and Compliance teams. Continuously build and maintain relationships with the correspondent Banks to enhance business opportunities and expand the portfolio.
Key Tasks and Duties
Establish new and maintain relationships with correspondent banks as per assigned markets.
Conduct credit analysis on the markets and banks for recommending limits as per due proposals for renewal or recommend new markets as per the bank s overall risk appetite.
Grow the assets portfolio for assigned markets through loans and funded risk participations or other transactions in assigned or new markets.
Grow the trade and guarantee portfolio of FIG in assigned or new markets through continuous engagement with banks and close coordination with internal teams.
Assist other teams in finding new opportunities and relationships and synergize with the banks including but not restricted to: Treasury, Corporate Banking, Global Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Muzn Islamic Banking,
Support in fund raising requirements for the bank (Syndicated loan, bilateral, trade loans or others) and come up with other funding solutions through relationship banks. Internal coordination with Treasury and other teams.
Provide updates of news, rating changes, any developments in local, regional and specific assigned markets and circulate to the team on live basis (daily / weekly).
Prepare portfolio updates or performance analysis reports as and when required.
Support other team members in reciprocal and synergy opportunities across other markets and transactions.
Arrange or oversee process for conducting KYC on new or renewal of KYC on correspondent banks.
Lead and oversee process of RMA exchange or account opening (Nostro or Vostro) under respective markets.
Liaise with the operations teams (Payments & Trade) and support for any escalation or follow up matters with the other correspondent banks.
Provide support to other team members and take action on any handovers in case of other team member s absence or other urgent matters.
Join training programs as nominated and build up other functional and soft skills through specific training courses.
