The HR Generalist role will be responsible for a full range of HR operation and employee relations tasks.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Recruitment & Selection

    • Support the recruiter in ensuring a smooth transition of candidates from recruiting to the onboarding stage.
  2. Mobilisations / Demobilisations

    • Responsible for the all mobilisation and demobilisation requirements, e.g. air tickets, visa paperwork and processing, temporary accommodation etc

    • Where required, liaise with HR teams around the globe on mobilisation of existing employees from other locations
  3. Administration / Systems

    • Responsible for processing of all new hires, salary changes, cost center changes, terminations etc by using the appropriate system and procedure

    • Maintaining of all employee files
  4. Operations

    • Dealing with daily HR queries from employees on a variety of employment contracts

    • Liaising with HR teams around the globe to ensure queries are closed out in a timely manner

    • Liaising with the Company's transaction centre in Dubai on payroll documentation and issues to ensure employees are paid correctly

    • Conducting exit interview

    • Assisting the HR Manager with induction of new hires

    • Travel to remote site will be required
  5. Government Relations

    • Liaising with the government relations team on various visa and compliance processes.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • A Bachelor Degree and a minimum of 8 years generalist HR experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to liaise with all levels of the organization including Senior Management
  • Previous experience in HR operations essential
  • Experience of working with a multi-national work force
  • Experience in a government relations team and processes
  • Experience of international HR/global mobility and management of expat contracts
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience in pro-active in identifying and addressing issues
  • Experience in SAP
  • Knowledge of Omani laws is essential
  • Omani national is preferred
