To execute a range of tasks related to Corporate & Institutional Banking operations for Mid-Market customers at Oman Arab Bank.

  1. Coordinate and engage with OAB's cross-functional departments concerning the Mid-Market unit of CIB.
  2. Review and recommend credit applications for Mid-Market customers.
  3. Initiate credit request proposals and internal memos with customer details for submission to the Credit Admin department promptly.
  4. Attend Mid-Market customer calls and meetings as appropriate to ensure prompt resolution.
  5. Initiate contact with new Mid-Market customers once identified as potentials with agreed products.
  6. Assess credit risk, prepare transaction documentation, and report to management.
  7. Review and comment on periodic reports on facility limit excess, expiry, etc., to be shared with the manager.
  8. Monitor customer accounts regularly to identify expired accounts and follow up on past dues or excesses.
  9. Handle daily operations related to clients, including trade finance, payments & cash management, and treasury activities.
  10. Ensure compliance with KYC protocols during client onboarding or updates.
  11. Participate in cross-selling activities for other bank products, including Large Corporate and SME offerings.
  12. Escalate potential operational losses or fraud cases promptly to the Relationship Manager or Unit Head.
  13. Approve payments for transactions via cheques.
  14. Address customer queries effectively and provide timely solutions/information.
  15. Assist auditors with any audit requirements.
  16. Ensure all activities comply with bank policies, processes, and AML/CFT regulations.
  17. Participate in related initiatives and projects as assigned.
  18. Complete all delegated tasks from management or reporting managers.
  19. Report suspicious activities or transactions to the Compliance division.
  20. Report misconduct as per the whistleblowing policy.
  21. Onboard quality new clients to expand the portfolio.
  22. Conduct regular client visits, facilitate onboarding, and promote short-term and long-term facilities to support portfolio growth.
  23. Maintain asset and portfolio quality, ensuring renewals are below 2% monthly and no accounts are pending over 90 days.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Banking, Business, or equivalent.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Strong command of English language.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.

Business Understanding:

  • Good understanding of bank policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Knowledge of Mid-Market banking products and services.
  • Bachelor's/Master's in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of financial metrics, ratios, cash flows, projections, and financial data evaluation.
