Job Title: QC Engineer/ Inspector

Salary Range: 500 OMR – 750 OMR

Nationality: Indian Only

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years as a QC Engineer/ Inspector in the Middle East within structural steel fabrication, pressure vessels, and tanks.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong expertise in welding processes and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods (UT, RT, PT, MT).
  • Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and QA/QC procedures.
  • Familiarity with CSWIP / CWI, BGAS / NACE, AWS, ASME, API Q1 codes and other international standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversee quality control processes for fabrication, welding, and NDT inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AWS, ASME, API standards, and project specifications.
  • Conduct welding inspections and coordinate NDT activities.
  • Review and approve QA/QC documentation, WPS, PQR, and ITPs.
  • Liaise with clients, third-party inspectors, and auditors for quality assurance.
  • Monitor non-conformance reports (NCRs) and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct material inspections and ensure traceability of welding consumables.
  • Support internal HSE and quality improvement initiatives.
Experience Requirements:

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in oil & gas fabrication workshops.
  • Certifications in CSWIP, BGAS, are highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects.
