We're looking for a seasoned professional to join our team as an Enterprise Linux Expert. Your role will be instrumental in helping global companies unlock the full potential of open source applications, driving business success through expert insights and strategic partnerships.

This opportunity is perfect for a software engineer with a passion for customer conversations and problem-solving during the presales cycle. With a deep understanding of open source technology landscapes, you'll help clients navigate the ever-changing world of enterprise software.

You'll work closely with our sales leads to identify customer challenges and develop tailored solutions using Ubuntu Pro and associated technologies. Your expertise will be invaluable in advising customers on open source applications and delivering compelling presentations to prospective clients.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong technical background, excellent business acumen, and a proven track record of driving commercial success. As a member of our global Field Engineering team, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and expand our customer base.

  • Provide expert guidance on open source applications and their integration with existing systems
  • Develop and deliver customized presentations to showcase Ubuntu Pro's capabilities
  • Liaise with product teams to gather feedback on requirements and influence the product roadmap
  • Work closely with sales teams to achieve common business objectives

Beyond your technical expertise, you'll need to be comfortable traveling up to 25% of your time for internal events, client meetings, and other business-critical engagements.
