Job Description

The role of Executive Chef requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the kitchen operation, ensuring smooth food production and quality service. Key responsibilities include developing unique menus, collaborating with the Food & Beverage Manager, monitoring inventory, and coordinating an effective workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing cuisine-appropriate menus that meet customer expectations.
  • Collaborating with the Food & Beverage Manager to set menu prices and optimize profit margins.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and applying innovative techniques to improve kitchen operations.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen, adhering to HACCP procedures.
  • Leading a team of kitchen staff in meal preparation, plating, and delivery, promoting a positive and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

  • A professional kitchen apprenticeship or equivalent training, plus at least 7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • A strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and preservation techniques, as well as the HACCP management system.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management, or equivalent experience.
