Heavy-Duty Gas Turbine Engineer

To effectively operate and maintain heavy-duty gas turbine machinery, the ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical engineering background and extensive experience in field services. Working closely with project/site managers and engineering departments is essential to ensure seamless execution of installation, maintenance, repair, and commissioning processes.

Key qualifications include:

  • Mechanical Engineering certification
  • At least 5 years' field experience in installation, maintenance, and performing schedule inspections on GE make heavy-duty gas turbines
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with additional languages being an advantage
  • Technical and mechanical knowledge of Gas Turbine and its related auxiliaries
  • Brief understanding of site safety requirements and procedures
  • Ability to work on both onshore and offshore sites

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, control, and coordinate site activities to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
  • Ensure compliance with site safety requirements and follow established safety standards/procedures
  • Lead and manage site crews, including foremen/supervisors, EHS personnel, technicians, and contractors
  • Inspect received parts and removed Gas turbine components, reporting results in a timely manner
  • Prepare procedures, schedules, daily reports, and inspection/outage reports for submission
  • Attend customer meetings and prepare lessons learned at the end of each outage
  • Ensure crew have necessary safety certifications prior to site deployment and correct tool replenishment
  • Cost-consciousness and ability to work holidays/weekends/overtime as needed

This is a challenging mid-senior level position requiring significant experience in field services engineering for heavy-duty gas turbines.
