We are seeking a motivated and organized Placement Lead to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about promoting placement opportunities to students, managing the student portal, and advising students on their applications.
About the Role:- Promote placement opportunities to students through various media, including flyers, presentations, documents, video, and online activity.
- Act as the primary point of contact for students inquiring about industrial placements and provide support throughout the placement year.
- Manage and update the Student Portal with respect to placement opportunities, documentation, and application forms.
- Deliver careers-related modules to prepare students for placement and guide them in reflecting on their experiences.
- Advise students on their applications and provide guidance on the requirements of undertaking a placement.
- Collaborate with work placement tutors to ensure they are available to meet students or employers when necessary and brief them on placement visits and reporting procedures.
- Work closely with Faculty Directors to allocate workloads to work placement tutors and ensure consistency of approach.
- Assess placement opportunities to ensure they meet quality assurance guidelines and relevant academic subject validation documents.
- Maintain long-term relationships with employers and monitor the suitability of existing placement opportunities.
- Carry out pre-placement site visits to ensure adequate working environments and communicate details of placements to university bodies.
- Gather and analyze market information, trends, and competitor developments to understand and disseminate market intelligence for undergraduate placements.
- Contribute to the development of external accreditation reports and participate in external accreditation reviews.
- Maintain detailed student placement records required by the Programme Board of Examiners.
- Represent the University at Open Days and speak to potential students and parents.
