Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our culinary team. As a key member of the kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing special meals and substituting items as needed. This role requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters to ensure optimal cooking results.
  • Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for use when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues during busy periods to ensure seamless service.
  • Inform the Chef of excess food items that can be used in daily specials.
  • Notify Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in fast-paced environments.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
