About the Role:

The Education Counsellor will provide exceptional guidance to international students, helping them find institutions that align with their academic and career aspirations. This involves providing students with accurate information and advice on study opportunities, local education systems, cultures, and geographic regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Counselling prospective students to identify suitable study options, including courses and institutions.
  • Scheduling and conducting phone discussions and office meetings to convey course/program information effectively.
  • Assisting students in selecting a shortlist of applications to submit, ensuring efficient use of counselling time.
  • Supporting students through admissions, visa, and pre-departure processes.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with students and their families to establish IDP as a trusted service provider.

Requirements:

  • Educated to bachelor's degree level or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience working in a sales-driven environment with a focus on achieving individual and team targets.
  • Knowledge of education institutions, admission processes, immigration requirements, and international operations.
  • Outstanding communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Effective relationship building and management skills.
  • Able to proactively identify, analyse, and solve problems effectively.
  • Sound judgement and ability to make decisions with integrity.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems.
