Financial Statement Specialist Job Description

This role involves overseeing financial transactions, monitoring and reconciling revenue accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Daily reconciliation of all revenue streams including Rooms, F&B, and Spa statistics.
    • Ensuring accurate posting and mapping of revenues in SUN account codes within Datavision system.
    • Reviewing and verifying all No-Show reports for completeness and adherence to hotel policies.
    • Approving all rebates, allowances, and discounts given to guests in line with established procedures.
    • Maintaining and updating foreign exchange rates in PMS system and informing Front Desk accordingly.
    • Verifying banquet revenue postings against Catering & Events daily event list report.
    • Reconciling all miscellaneous negative postings and house charges.
    • Conducting monthly inventory and reconciliation of global gift cards.
    • Reviewing General Cashier Report for accuracy and ensuring clearance accounts are zeroed out at month-end.
    • Maintaining subsidiary ledgers' balances with General Ledger balances and preparing month-end reconciliation reports.
    • Carrying out regular spot checks on operations such as menu price verification, Emergency Kit review, etc.
