Accounts Payable Specialist

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pre-opening team where your ideas, energy, and commitment will help shape the hotel's culture and guest experience from day one.

  • Manage and process vendor invoices and payments to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records, verify invoices, and collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve payment discrepancies.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  1. Receive, review, and process vendor invoices and payment requests in accordance with company policies.
  2. Verify accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, and contracts before payment processing.
  3. Ensure timely payment to vendors to maintain good business relationships and avoid late fees.
  4. Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies or issues promptly.
  5. Maintain organized records of all accounts payable documentation and files.
  6. Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
  7. Coordinate with other hotel departments to verify receipt of goods and services and approve invoices.
  8. Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment status or issues.
  9. Prepare reports on accounts payable status, outstanding invoices, and payment schedules.
  10. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
What We Need From You:
  • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role, preferably in hospitality or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
