The Sous Chef role supports the Executive Chef in managing Mediterranean kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality dish preparation and presentation. This position involves supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food quality standards, managing inventory, and contributing to menu development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning and directing kitchen activities focused on Mediterranean cuisine.\
  • Prepare, cook, and present Mediterranean dishes, including appetizers, main courses, desserts, and specialty items.\
  • Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain culinary standards and efficient operations.\
  • Maintain consistent quality, portion control, and presentation in line with hotel standards.\
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and update menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.\
  • Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and minimize wastage through proper stock rotation and portion control.\
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP).\
  • Support banquets, events, and in-house dining services when required.\
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques relevant to Mediterranean cuisine.\
  • Assist in recruitment, performance evaluation, and scheduling of kitchen staff.\
  • Maintain equipment and kitchen tools in good working order and report maintenance needs promptly.
