Job Overview

As a leader in the hospitality industry, we are seeking an experienced stewarding supervisor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to shape the culture and guest experience of our hotel from day one.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily activities of stewarding staff to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of all kitchen utensils, dishware, cookware, and equipment.
  • Assign duties and monitor staff performance to ensure high standards of cleanliness and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness in all kitchen and back-of-house areas, including storage rooms, garbage areas, and loading docks.
  • Assist in the training and onboarding of new stewarding team members.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals, ensuring proper use and storage.
  • Oversee the setup and breakdown of stewarding support for banquet and catering events.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Control and minimize breakage and loss of kitchen equipment, glassware, and tableware.
  • Support the Executive Chef in maintaining a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–3 years of experience in stewarding, dishwashing, or kitchen sanitation, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in a hotel or resort environment.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and food safety procedures.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing, lifting, carrying).
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
