Finance Leader Position

We are seeking an experienced Finance Leader who will take on a wide range of responsibilities, overseeing financial and accounting strategies. This individual will be accountable to the Corporate Financial Director and play a key role in analyzing financial performance, managing finance operations and cash flow, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and financial regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Leading the General Ledger team to ensure compliance with IFRS standards.
  2. Implementing internal controls to improve processes and reduce costs.
  3. Finalizing Financial Statements, Notes to Accounts, and Compliance reports.
  4. Submitting statutory returns in a timely manner.
  5. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual Management Information Systems (MIS) for top management.
  6. Reviewing and discussing periodical MIS reports with department heads and presenting potential cost efficiency plans.
  7. Liaising with External and Internal Auditors to ensure smooth conduct of Annual and interim audits.
  8. Liaising with Bankers to arrange funds properly.
  9. Implementing strong Working Capital management by ensuring robust cash flow controls.
  10. Assisting top management in decision making through Management Accounting tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's/MBA preferred).
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in financial management roles or Big 4 firms.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic Speaking, Writing, and Reading.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Sultanate of Oman financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
  • Excellent team engagement, analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
