About this role:

As a Senior Government Banking Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with Ministries, other Government/Quasi Government Institutions & Pension Funds accounts. This involves working closely with the Head of Government Banking to develop and implement strategies that drive business growth and account management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute plans to grow banking relationships and account management with Ministries and other Government/Quasi Government Institutions & Pension Funds in accordance with the bank's strategy and goals.
  2. Collaborate with branch managers to ensure successful management of all accounts related to Ministries, other Government/Quasi Government Institutions & Pension Funds.
  3. Explore new business opportunities, including mobilizing low-cost deposits, new client accounts, and achieving allocated targets.
  4. Manage a portfolio of existing accounts for Ministries, other Government/Quasi Government Institutions & Pension Funds.
  5. Liaise with Treasury to provide specialized financial services and liaise with Wholesale and Retail Banking to offer schemes for Government Employees.
  6. Identify opportunities for cross-selling other products/services provided by the bank in collaboration with Head - Government Banking and Head office Departments.
  7. Maintain/enhance account relationships with Government Ministers and Departments and ensure branches provide required services.
  8. Perform regular visits to ministries and other Government/Quasi Government Institutions to review suggestions and remedial action for complaints, if any.
  9. Maintain/update database for all Ministries & other Government/Quasi Government Institutions & Pension Funds accounts.
  10. Act as primary contact point between the Bank and Government/Quasi Government Institutions.

Requirements:

  1. Fluent Arabic and English language skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Omani National.
  • Diploma Certificate with a minimum of 8 years of banking experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor Degree with a minimum of 4 years of banking experience in a related field.

Job Skills:

  • Possess sales & marketing skills.
  • Possess strong executive contacts & relationships.
  • Strong bilingual candidate in Arabic and English.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills (Oral and Verbal).
  • Good leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
