Operations Management Lead

This is a leadership opportunity to oversee the execution of projects within your area of responsibility. The role involves ensuring that operations are carried out in alignment with company procedures, regulatory standards, and contractual requirements.


You will lead the implementation of continuous improvements for the project execution strategy within local or regional Project Operations. This includes ensuring consistent portfolio management based on industry best practices, policies, and SOX controls.


The role requires overseeing and guiding the local Project Execution team to ensure adherence to company policies, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, and compliance requirements. You will supervise project execution and performance through regular reviews with Project Managers and management.


Monitoring and controlling project progress, financials, risks, invoicing, and resource utilization to meet targets and maximize efficiency is also part of this role. Additionally, you will drive project recovery efforts by supporting troubled projects, identifying root causes, and guiding corrective actions.


Developing and enhancing project execution capacity and capability by structuring teams, coaching staff, and ensuring proper certification and skills is another key aspect of this role.


Sales and Tendering teams can expect early involvement in tenders and participation in sales and operations planning processes from you.


A strong HSE culture will be promoted through driving safety initiatives, validating measures, and acting as a role model in compliance and integrity. Collaboration across divisions will also be fostered through leading high-performing teams through mentoring, performance feedback, and people development.


Requirements for the Role
  • Familiarity with portfolio and strategy, governance and performance, stakeholder management, communication, and project finance and cost in the automation or electrification sector
  • No less than 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on scope and change management, schedule and task management, risk and opportunity management, and quality management
  • Experience in managing people, including leading teams and driving resource and talent management, with no less than 3-5 years
  • Proven expertise in procurement, HSE management, and contract management, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Ability to manage integration processes and align project phases with stakeholder needs and contractual commitments
  • Possession of innovative solutions in areas such as governance and performance, organizational change and transformation, and continuous improvement
  • Commitment to delivering benefits and value to customers, driving performance excellence and creating lasting impact through knowledge management and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Degree in Engineering or similar technical field, with extensive knowledge in automation or electrification
  • Comfortable communicating in English, with ability to engage effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Holding current PM certification, such as PMP, and possession of relevant work permits or visas for job location and country-specific requirements
