Role Overview


Finding Success in Food and Beverage Supervision

As a skilled Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for upholding exceptional guest experiences. This involves aligning with our core values of sensitivity, sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsibility, caring, fun, quirkiness, and pioneering wellness.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Pre-Shift Preparations: Review bookings and plan for smooth department operation during shifts to ensure seamless execution.
  2. F&B Area Preparation: Ensure the F&B area is checked prior to opening, clean, properly equipped, and maintained to high standards to meet guest expectations.
  3. Guest Feedback and Inquiries: Handle guest feedback, inquiries, and comments in a professional and empathetic manner to foster positive relationships.
  4. Team Support: Assist in scheduling, training, and providing constructive feedback to F&B Hosts to enhance their skills and performance.
  5. Team Supervision: Oversee the F&B team and ensure they are working efficiently to meet service standards, promoting a culture of excellence.
  6. Service Standards: Maintain an empathetic attitude and provide prompt and efficient service according to established guidelines and protocols.
  7. Mise-en-Place: Ensure all mise-en-place for restaurant service is prepared before opening hours to guarantee timely delivery.
  8. Culinary Knowledge: Maintain good knowledge of all outlet menus (food and wine) and daily F&B activities to stay informed and make recommendations.
  9. Outlet Hours: Be aware of all F&B outlet opening hours to effectively manage schedules and resources.
  10. Upselling Opportunities: Understand menu prices and suggest upselling when appropriate to increase revenue and enhance the guest experience.
  11. Equipment Maintenance: Keep all equipment clean and in good working condition to prevent breakdowns and maintain efficiency.
  12. Performance Benchmarks: Uphold established guidelines and standards of service and operation, maintaining and exceeding performance benchmarks to drive success.
Requirements

To succeed as an F&B Supervisor, you must possess the necessary qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role within luxury hotels, with proven results, including:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with 2-4 years of restaurant experience in a full-service outlet or similar setting. A hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized institution is preferred.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are beneficial.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit, or a valid health/food handler card as required by local regulations.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, with the ability to work in a remote location for extended periods and travel on a single status.
