Operations Leader

Job Summary:

• We are looking for a dedicated and organized Production Manager to join our team. This is a key leadership role that involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of our production facility.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing production processes, ensuring high-quality products, and maintaining a safe working environment.

1. Manage batch processing operations in line with quality and safety requirements;
2. Plan and execute daily/weekly batch processing operations based on production schedules, prioritizing efficiency and minimizing downtime;
3. Monitor and control processing machine performance, adjusting equipment and batch sizes as needed to meet targets and quality standards;
4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, escalating complex problems to appropriate personnel;
5. Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, output, and cost reduction;
6. Manage inventory of supplies and consumables, ensuring sufficient stock levels and minimizing waste;
7. Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all batch processing activities;
8. Ensure that equipment is well maintained and in good order for all operational requirements;
9. Coordinate with engineering department for preventative maintenance schedules for all processing equipment, ensuring adherence and minimizing disruptions;
10. Coordinate repairs and maintenance with the maintenance department, prioritizing critical equipment to minimize downtime;
11. Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential problems and ensure safe operating conditions;
12. Ensure that all equipment are clean and in accordance with required sanitization and hygiene practices;
13. Full delivery of the production plan requirement in line with monthly and weekly production schedules;
14. Collaborate with RM Store, Packing, and Scheduling to ensure accurate and timely delivery of the production plan;
15. Communicate production targets and priorities to the Processing Operators team, ensuring clear understanding and alignment;
16. Monitor production progress against the plan, identifying and addressing any deviations or bottlenecks;
17. Prepare and submit reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, efficiency, and downtime;
18. Closely coordinate with all departmental and functional stakeholders;
19. Liaise with quality control to ensure adherence to product quality standards and address any quality issues promptly;
20. Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely posting of finished batches and transfer to warehouse locations;
21. Communicate effectively with other departments, such as Processing, RM Store, Scheduling, QC, Logistics, and Engineering, to ensure smooth operations;
22. Implement Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality activities;
23. Ensure that standard operating procedures (SOP) are updated and available for Processing activities;
24. Participate in all HSE&S requirements for production, e.g., Hazard studies and HSE common platform, toolbox talks;
25. Adhere to applicable ISO standards principles and practices;
26. Maintain the allocated HSE&S elements for the functional area;
27. Ensure that all HSE and Quality policies, procedures, and standards are followed in the department;
28. Perform risk management for the department and provide assistance in the company risk management process;
29. Model the safety culture for Processing teams;
30. Team management and development;
31. Ensure that all staffing requirements for Processing operations are adequately fulfilled at all times;
32. Ensure that all operators have all the required compliance, HSE, and Quality trainings completed in a timely manner;
33. Maintain functional training need analysis for all operators;
34. Ensure that all functional training requirements for operators are completed in a timely manner;
35. Identify development focus areas for operators and prepare action plans with development goals for them;

Requirements:

• Bachelor's University qualification (engineering, sciences, or supply chain related fields);
• Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in the manufacturing environment;
• Good analytical ability;
• Ability to work unsupervised;
• High Excel proficiency;
• Working knowledge of ERP systems;
• At least multilingual capabilities (including English) for effective cross-departmental communication;
