About the Sous Chef Position

The successful candidate will be a skilled culinary professional with expertise in creating innovative dishes and leading a team to deliver exceptional food presentation.

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, kitchen operations, and inventory management.
  • Develop and maintain plating guides, ensuring consistency across all outlets.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, adhering to set cooking methods and images.
  • Prepare dishes using traditional methods, following agreed-upon standards set by the Head Chef.
  • Support identifying areas for improvement in food and beverage quality and report to the Head Chef.
  • Foster effective communication among departments to promote teamwork and enthusiasm.
  • Oversee daily ordering and requesting of ingredients.
  • Provide leadership and support to colleagues at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef on weekly roster preparation.
  • Enforce food safety standards as per local regulations.
  • Maintain grooming and appearance standards that reflect professionalism and care.
  • Monitor VIP guest requirements and special dietary needs.
  • Evaluate customer satisfaction against MOHG service standards.
  • Communicate company policies and procedures to colleagues.
  • Conduct regular hands-on training to ensure food knowledge and cooking methods remain current.
  • Support other kitchen teams as required.
  • Stay updated on the latest food trends to maintain international culinary standards.
