About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to lead our account management team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic clients, identifying opportunities for business expansion and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and manage client contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for recurring client issues and recommend structural improvements.
  • Represent the Account Management function in executive meetings and high-level client forums.

Leadership and Team Management
  • Provide overall direction for the effective achievement of department objectives through leadership of the account management team.
  • Mentor, coach, and motivate team members, offering feedback and identifying development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to synergize efforts across departments for the successful achievement of strategic objectives.

Systems and Processes
  • Design and improve departmental systems, processes, and procedures relating to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Champion the LEAN / Continuous Improvement culture within the department.

Innovation & Digitalization
  • Champion the department's digitalization journey, leveraging technology to enhance accessibility and responsiveness.

Customer Experience
  • Instill a customer-first mindset within the account management team, holding them accountable for delivering high-quality customer experiences.
  • Define and monitor key CX metrics, translating client feedback into service enhancements and operational improvements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Commercial Management, Logistics, Industrial Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in account management, business development, or related roles, preferably within logistics or port sectors.
  • Proven track record in managing strategic client relationships, negotiations, and driving revenue growth.
