
Exhibition Business Development Lead

A senior leader is sought to drive the exhibition business unit into a successful operation.
Key Responsibilities- Sales:
- Monitor competitors and identify strategies for account management.
- Establish and maintain relationships with association partners.
- Manage the database to maximise its effectiveness.
- Promote best practice in sales. - Customer Focus:
- Identify customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Recognise motivations that influence buying decisions.
- Ensure customers receive return on investment. - Strategy:
- Leverage existing contacts across industry sectors.
- Attend industry events to stay informed and network.
- Generate and act upon new ideas regularly.
- Monitor competitive show strategies. - Business Development:
- Develop exhibition brands locally, regionally and internationally.
- Maximize business development opportunities for each exhibition. - People Management:
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills.
- Recruit, motivate and empower a team of professionals.
- Communicate effectively with the team.
- Manage complex reporting lines and develop individual and team capability. - Organising:
- Collaborate with Department Directors to achieve goals.
- Understand supplier relationships and floor planning requirements.
- Control venue logistics. - Financial:
- Coordinate financial aspects and ensure accurate budgeting.
- 5-8 years of experience within the exhibition industry in the Middle East region.
- University Graduate with relevant experience.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills with experience in managing multiple disciplines.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills and high level of integrity and professionalism.
- Proven sales and marketing background in a service industry, familiar with sales systems and marketing awareness.
- Budget management experience and familiarity with accounting systems.
- Team management experience.
