Job Description:

  • The Materials Controller is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of materials movements and materials storage within site storage space. Ensuring the labelling and recording of materials is in line with the warehouse materials management procedures.

  • Receiving and issuing of materials, applying appropriate material preservation guidelines; check and review material delivery receipts against actual deliveries and raise discrepancy reports if applicable.

  • Daily SAP or other system transaction recording and provide & maintain daily reports of receipts and issues.

  • Checks cargo manifest and ensures that all incoming and outgoing materials/equipment's have proper documentation.

  • Ensure that all material released for all jobs and all surplus are properly recorded.

  • Liaise with all stake holders (Project Engineers, expediting team, Construction team, Store team and Contractors) to update the material status for each of the ongoing and planned projects.

  • Control the material issuance by the contractor and make sure that the material requirement is fulfilled for each job.

  • Producing regular reports of outstanding material for the successful completion of a project.

  • Helps to prepare and maintain material traceability and accuracy project wise from Material request stage to collection and inspection

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma / I.T.I. holder OR equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as material controller.
  • The personnel shall have good communication skill.
  • Must be well versed with Material management software's like SAP/Oracle Modules.
