Summary
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and cooking machines, to ensure proper functioning.
  • Determine materials, equipment, and supplies needed. Transfer equipment and personnel between projects as necessary.
  • Assist in installing and setting up new kitchen equipment, ensuring proper operation and safety standards.
  • Coordinate, inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems across all health department locations.
  • Coordinate and maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, including boiler systems, across all locations.
  • Perform general repairs such as painting, patching walls, security hardware, hanging shelves, and landscaping.
  • Coordinate renovations of existing facilities and construction of new ones.
  • Oversee and inspect major contract work related to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other systems.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of kitchen equipment to prevent breakdowns.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and ensure quick, efficient turnover to meet guest needs.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns, be available in emergencies, and take appropriate actions as per hotel policies.
  • Operate safely and environmentally responsibly to protect guests and staff health and safety, and conserve the environment.
  • Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete all work orders received during shifts and properly hand over unfinished tasks.
  • Regularly inspect and log the condition of equipment, machinery, and systems.
  • Cease operation and run standby systems if abnormalities or breakdowns occur, and inform superiors.
  • Monitor utility consumption and assist in maintaining efficiency.
  • Train and supervise subordinates in the correct operation of equipment and emergency systems, including fire protection and emergency generators.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or higher education qualification.
  • Proven knowledge in operating equipment such as steam engines, generators, motors, turbines, and/or steam boilers.
  • Good command of English.
