Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and cooking machines, to ensure proper functioning.

Determine materials, equipment, and supplies needed. Transfer equipment and personnel between projects as necessary.

Assist in the installation and setup of new kitchen equipment, ensuring proper operation and safety standards.

Coordinate or inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems in all health department locations.

Coordinate or inspect, operate, and maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation systems (including boilers).

Perform general repairs such as painting, patching walls, security hardware, hanging shelves, and landscaping.

Coordinate renovations and construction of new facilities.

Inspect major contract work on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems.

Ensure proper maintenance of kitchen equipment to prevent breakdowns.

Perform preventive maintenance and complete turnovers efficiently to meet guest needs.

Respond to equipment breakdowns, being available for emergencies and taking appropriate action per hotel policies.

Operate safely and environmentally responsibly, protecting health and safety, and conserving the environment.

Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.

Complete work orders during shifts, ensuring proper handover of unfinished tasks.

Inspect and log the condition of equipment and systems regularly.

In case of abnormalities or breakdowns, cease operation and inform superiors.

Monitor utility consumption and assist in maintaining efficiency.

Train and supervise subordinates in the operation of equipment and emergency systems.

Qualifications: Diploma or degree, proven knowledge of operation of steam engines, generators, motors, turbines, and/or steam boilers, and good command of English.
