Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and cooking machines, to ensure proper functioning.
  2. Determine materials, equipment, and supplies needed. Transfer equipment and personnel between projects as necessary.
  3. Assist in the installation and setup of new kitchen equipment, ensuring proper operation and safety standards are met.
  4. Coordinate or perform inspection, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems in all health department locations.
  5. Coordinate or inspect, operate, and maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation systems (including boiler systems) in all health department locations.
  6. Perform general repairs such as painting, patching walls, security hardware installation, hanging shelves, and landscaping.
  7. Coordinate renovations of existing facilities and the construction of new facilities.
  8. Oversee major contract work on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems in all health department locations.
  9. Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained to prevent breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and efficiently complete turn-overs to meet guest needs.
  10. Respond to equipment breakdowns, be available for emergencies, and apply appropriate actions as per hotel policies and standards.
  11. Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to protect guests and colleagues' health and safety, as well as conserve the environment.
  12. Comply with hotel environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
  13. Complete all work orders during shifts and ensure proper handover of unfinished orders.
  14. Regularly inspect and log the condition of equipment, machinery, and systems.
  15. Cease operation and run standby systems if abnormalities or breakdowns occur, and inform superiors.
  16. Monitor utility consumption and assist in maintaining efficiency.
  17. Train and supervise subordinates in the correct operation of equipment and emergency systems such as fire protection panels and emergency generators.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or higher education.
  • Proven knowledge in operating equipment such as steam engines, generators, motors, turbines, and/or steam boilers.
