Job Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and cooking machines, to ensure proper functioning.
  2. Determine materials, equipment, and supplies needed; transfer equipment and personnel between projects as necessary.
  3. Assist in the installation and setup of new kitchen equipment, ensuring proper operation and safety standards are met.
  4. Coordinate, inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems in all health department locations.
  5. Oversee the operation and maintenance of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, including boiler systems.
  6. Perform general repairs such as painting, patching walls, installing security hardware, hanging shelves, and landscaping.
  7. Coordinate renovations of existing facilities and construction of new facilities.
  8. Inspect and oversee major contract work on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems.
  9. Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained to prevent breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure quick turnover to meet guest needs.
  10. Respond to equipment breakdowns, be available for emergencies, and apply appropriate actions per hotel policy and standards.
  11. Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to protect guests and colleagues' health and safety, and conserve the environment.
  12. Comply with hotel environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
  13. Complete all work orders received during shifts and ensure proper handover of unfinished orders.
  14. Regularly inspect and log the condition of equipment, machinery, and systems.
  15. In case of abnormalities or breakdowns, cease operation, run standby systems, and inform superiors.
  16. Monitor utility consumption and assist in maintaining efficiency.
  17. Train and supervise subordinates in the correct operation of equipment and emergency systems.
Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma or higher education qualification.
  • Proven knowledge in operating equipment such as steam engines, generators, motors, turbines, and/or steam boilers.
  • Good command of English.
