SUMMARY OF ROLE

The Head of Corporate Liability and Transactional Banking is responsible for targeting corporate clients, enhancing the portfolio by marketing and onboarding new corporate entities through electronic platforms, and managing a team of Assistant/Relationship Managers. This role focuses on increasing corporate deposits, growing operational accounts, and driving customer engagement with the bank's digital offerings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Increase Corporate Deposits
    • Onboard new corporate clients to significantly increase the bank's corporate deposits, which is a key driver for growth and financial stability.
    • Develop and execute strategies to attract high-value clients, identifying target industries and clients that can bring in substantial deposits.
    • Establish strong rapport with potential clients, presenting tailored solutions to meet their needs and encourage long-term relationships.
  2. Grow Operative Accounts and CASA
    • Focus on increasing the number of operative accounts and CASA (Current Accounts & Savings Accounts) with corporate clients to boost the bank's liquidity and operational efficiency.
    • Target sectors with high demand for transactional banking services, such as SMEs, large corporations, and multinational companies.
    • Use data-driven insights to understand customer needs and offer banking products that align with their business operations and cash flow management.
  3. Team Management and Target Achievement
    • Lead and manage a team of Assistant/Relationship Managers, ensuring they meet their individual and team targets, contributing to the bank's overall success.
    • Monitor day-to-day operations and provide support to the team by addressing challenges, offering guidance, and ensuring high-performance standards.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth within the team.
  4. Contribute to Business Plan Development
    • Actively contribute to the development of the bank's corporate banking business plan by identifying growth opportunities, enhancing relationships with existing clients, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
    • Drive the migration of existing corporate clients to ABO Digital Products, improving operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and engagement with the bank's digital platforms.
    • Work closely with other departments to implement initiatives that foster growth and enhance the bank's digital transformation efforts.
  5. Expand Corporate Client Base
    • Lead efforts to prospect and sign up new corporate customers by leveraging market knowledge, competitive offerings, and innovative solutions.
    • Ensure high client retention through effective relationship management, offering tailored products and services, and consistently meeting customer expectations. Generate income by cross-selling and upselling a wide range of bank products (e.g., loans, cash management, trade finance) to existing clients and new customers, increasing profitability.
  6. Digital Product Onboarding
    • Establish and manage relationships with corporate clients who are interested in digital banking products, ensuring a seamless onboarding process and adoption of these products.
    • Collaborate with the IT and digital banking teams to ensure smooth implementation and integration of corporate clients into the bank's digital platforms, providing them with the necessary support and guidance.
    • Promote the bank's digital offerings as solutions to corporate clients' pain points, helping them streamline their banking operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
  7. Customer Engagement and Relationship Development
    • Regularly engage with current and potential key customers to maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships, fostering trust and loyalty over time.
    • Meet clients in person or through virtual channels to better understand their business needs, objectives, and challenges, tailoring solutions accordingly. Provide exceptional customer service by being proactive, responsive, and addressing issues or concerns promptly, ensuring high customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
  8. Cross-Sell Bank Products and Services
    • Identify opportunities to cross-sell a broad spectrum of bank products and services (e.g., loans, investment options, trade finance) to corporate clients, driving revenue growth and strengthening client relationships.
    • Stay informed about the bank's product offerings and industry trends to effectively recommend solutions that meet clients' evolving needs.
    • Build strong internal relationships with product teams to develop new offerings tailored to corporate clients and ensure these offerings are communicated and promoted effectively.
  9. Positive Market Representation
    • Act as a positive ambassador for the bank, representing the institution in the market and within industry forums, conferences, and networking events.
    • Ensure the bank's reputation remains strong by maintaining a professional demeanor and promoting its strengths, such as customer-centric services, digital innovation, and reliable banking solutions.
    • Use market intelligence to stay ahead of competitors, ensuring the bank's offerings are positioned as best-in-class for corporate clients.
  10. Process Innovation, Automation & Digitalization
    • Drive continuous process improvement through innovative, automated, and digital solutions once required.
  11. Business Control & Governance
    • Ensure adherence to the bank's policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards in all operational activities.
  12. Self/People Development & Continuous Learning
    • Continually update oneself through knowledge acquisition, on-the-job training, or project involvement; advocate and support others to do the same.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
  • Education: A Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of experience in a relevant role, preferably within a corporate banking or financial services environment, with demonstrated expertise in managing client portfolios, developing business relationships, and driving business growth.
