An Account Specialist will create long-term, trusting relationships with our clients. The role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned strategic clients, develop new business from existing clients, and actively seek new sales and business development opportunities.

This includes developing strong relationships with clients, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders, and preparing sales reports. The Key Account Specialist will also answer client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing clients. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Customer Experience, Account Sales, Operations, Finance, IT, etc.) to improve the entire customer experience and ensure all clients' needs and requirements are met.

As an Account Specialist, you will collaborate with our sales and business development team to support target achievements while keeping our clients satisfied and engaged with our products and services in the long term.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Operational:

  1. Management of a dedicated number of key accounts that are the top revenue-generating or strategic business clients that need a VIP dedicated support resource.
  2. Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters.
  3. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  4. Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
  5. Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs and objectives.
  6. Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., monthly/weekly, semiannual, and annual operational performance).
  7. Prepare reports on key account status and at-risk clients.
  8. Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Develop new business with existing key account clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales and services quotas.
  10. Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory.
  11. Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
  12. Ensure that operations are aligned with customer needs and meeting all operational normal and special daily operations.

People:

  1. Ensure tasks are understood by the team members and performed responsibly and diligently.
  2. Liaison with management and other line managers (as part of a cross-functional team) for efficient running of the department.
  3. Participate in management and supervisory meetings as and when required.
