Job Purpose
The position of Relationship Manager is responsible for the acquisition of new corporate banking clients and the expansion/retention of existing relationships. Will help structure, underwrite, negotiate and manage complex credit relationships.
Responsibilities
- Initiate & grow the SME & Middle Market segment portfolio to achieve specified targets for this segment.
- Build and maintain relationships with entities through constant communication and exceptional service delivery.
- Understand the Bank's offered corporate products and services and be able to communicate this understanding to the existing and prospective clients
- Manage all kind of communication and interactions with clients and ensure customer satisfaction
- Visit clients to understand their needs and coordinate with relevant departments to bring in the required expertise in the customer's area of interest.
- Ensure all the necessary information have been obtained and oversee preparation of Credit Proposals within the agreed TAT.
- Ensure prompt replies to the enquiries raised by Sharia & Risk Management related to the credit proposals.
- Coordinate with credit administration and the Division head to understand portfolio credit risks and execute any action required
- Coordinate the gathering of required documentations and follow up on necessary approvals for any deferrals/waivers required (if any).
- Monitor the Bank's performance and marketing position in the SME & Mid-Market segment.
- Manage & coordinate client support services
- Ensure to respond to any enquiries raised or documentation required by internal/external/CBO/Sharia auditors, keep the audit observation and portfolio exceptions/irregularities at nil or minimum level.
- Coordinate in providing data to Finance department for budget preparation
- Implement business development strategy & plan as directed by the Division Head
- Identify areas of growth based on KPI and implement strategy to achieve business target set by the Bank
- Communicate with clients on regular basis to build and maintain relationship
- Liaise with Sharia & Risk for product updates on regular basis and keep product information updated for customer's use.
- Prepare call report after each client's visit and share the same with the Division Head before filing it
- Collect all the necessary information from client and prepare proposal based on the information provided within the agreed terms and TAT
- Communicate with Sharia & Risk to get feedback on submitted proposal and respond promptly to any query that may arise there.
- Communicate with client to ensure post approval documents are provided/completed and seek approval promptly for any waiver/deferral requirement
- Coordinate with CAC to ensure any pending issues/documents are addressed promptly
- Coordinate with CAC & Ops to ensure disbursement of facilities is done smoothly and on time.
- Monitor accounts on daily basis and ensure payment/obligations are met on time.
- Keep update on the market trends and address any adverse issue that may affect the quality of the portfolio.
- Coordinate with the Support team to ensure customer's transactions are smoothly executed.
- Ensure all clients files are updated and promptly respond to query that may arise from internal/Sharia/external auditors. Keep any irregularities/audit observations at minimum level.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree
Experience
- Total of 7 years experience in Corporate Banking Relationship Management role.
Skills & Knowledge
- Experience in credit risk analysis, structuring of credit lines and Financial Modelling.
- Strong skills & experience in selling Trade, Financing and Cash Management products.
- Adequate knowledge of Islamic banking products.
