**Department Head: Reservations Manager**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reservations Manager to lead our reservations department at an ultra-luxury resort. This is a key role in the hospitality industry, recognized globally for its exceptional service.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Revenue Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing to determine operational priorities and implement innovative strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Local and Overseas Room Bookings: Supervise and handle all room bookings, ensuring efficient responses to reservation requests.
- Train and Develop Team Members: Supervise and train subordinates, evaluating their performance and reporting progress to superiors.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure all reservations are entered and updated on the computer, keeping control of travel agent allotment and statistical information.
- Implement Richey Standard: Implement the Richey standard to achieve maximum guest satisfaction and monitor internet reservation systems.
- Conduct Training and Develop Business Plans: Make an annual training plan for the department, conduct departmental training, and create business plans to achieve targets.
Requirements:
- A degree or certification in Hospitality, or Diploma in a relevant field from a recognized institute.
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of hotel/resorts and SPLs policies regarding reservations, discounts, and detailed procedures.
- Excellent all-around knowledge of Hotel operations.
- Very good command of written and spoken English.
- Additional language beneficial.
Working Conditions:
- Domestic and regional travel as required.
- Standard workweek Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with weekends and evenings as needed.
