SUMMARY
The HR Manager role will be responsible for providing an effective service to the project by ensuring efficient and timely recruitment and mobilisation of staff onto the project and effective management of the HR function on the project.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Recruitment & Selection

    • The role will be responsible for driving forward and managing a fast paced recruitment environment. Working closely with the Project Director and hiring managers the HR Manager will, with the assistance of a recruiter, be required to manage the full recruitment life cycle from interview to mobilization.

    • Due to the ongoing requirements the role will also be required to constantly review sources, advertising methods and agencies to make ensure consistent flow of high caliber candidates.

    • Ensuring the recruitment process is compliant with Company and legal process, as applicable.

    • Monitoring of Omanisation targets and ensuring recruitment supports achieving these.
  2. Mobilisations / Demobilisations

    • Managing and coordinating the process with IHR, Regional HR and project administration on all mobilization and demobilizations, as required.
  3. Policies & Procedures

    • Assisting in implement of a full range of project HR policies and procedure

    • Will be responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are compliant with internal Company policy as well as working with legal to ensure legal compliance

    • Provide management and employee's advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.

    • Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries

    • Ensure HR and the business are compliant with global and local HR policy.
  4. Operations

    • Dealing with daily HR queries from employees on a variety of employment contracts.

    • Liaising with HR teams around the globe to ensure queries are closed out.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor Degree and a minimum of 10 years generalist HR experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to liaise with all levels of the organization including Senior Management
  • Strong recruitment experience, ideally gained in-house, is essential
  • Experience in a government relations team and processes are essential. Experience in setting up a newly established entity would be advantages.
  • Experience of international HR and management of expat contracts
  • Experience of projects within the Oil and Gas sector and dealing with OPAL would be an advantage
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience in pro-active in identifying and addressing issues
  • Experience in SAP and applicant tracking systems, ideally Taleo, is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Omani laws and Omanisation is essential
  • Omani national is preferred
