Job Title: Senior Contracts Coordinator

About the Role:
The Contracts Manager will oversee the delivery of a complex road safety management contract, ensuring that all project/contract deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team of contract administrators and technical experts.

Main Responsibilities:
• Manage contract delivery, including risk mitigation strategies and change management procedures;
• Develop and implement project management plans, monitor progress, and identify potential risks;
• Communicate project updates to stakeholders, including the client, project sponsor, and other interested parties;
• Identify and negotiate contract variations to protect both the client's and the company's interests;
• Participate in contract-related actions with internal and external stakeholders;
• Proactively use data-led decision-making to identify process improvements;

Clients and Stakeholders:
This role involves day-to-day client and stakeholder management and communication. The successful candidate will be responsible for hosting internal and external meetings, producing reports, and analyzing data to inform business decisions.

Operational Management:
The Contracts Manager will ensure change and cost management practices are actioned as per company policy. They will also develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the company and contract, project manage changes to operational requirements, and carry out regular site visits to assess facility, process, and people issues.

Performance Management:
The role requires setting clear performance expectations for team members, providing regular feedback, conducting performance appraisals, and developing performance improvement plans where necessary.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, business management, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred;
• NEBOSH certificate or equivalent is preferred;
• Lead Auditor certification in Road Safety Management is preferred;
• Additional certifications in contract management, financial management, or related fields are highly desirable;

Key Skills:
• Clear spoken and written English communication;
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office;
• Good knowledge of the OPAL road safety standard;
• Ability to manage and progress multiple tasks at once;
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision;
