Job Description:

The Global Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and developing existing and new business accounts. This position involves maintaining an active new business prospect listing, undertaking new business sales calls to win new business, and developing financial supporting data and process data to potential and existing business wins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business through approaching new business customers as defined by local sales KPIs.
  • Establish a new business prospect listing to ensure future new business development is planned in advance.
  • Manage and handle RFQ response documents for Contract Logistics Business.
  • Maintain account and new business approaches and outcomes in C-view.
  • Generate and distribute specific reports aligned with the position's requirements.
  • Cross-sell activities within the department.
  • Foster close working relationships with Customer Service, Operations, and Contract Logistics teams.
  • Focus on winning and retaining profitable business.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for RFQ and new business submissions.
  • Manage financial forecast and cost module projections for new business submissions.
  • Undertake regional presentations as required.
  • Upsell and cross-sell within the existing customer base to develop account potential.
  • Coordinate commercial activities for defined vertical groups of customers with the customer service team.
  • Represent the company and its policies to Strategic Accounts.
  • Develop SOPs for strategic accounts in association with the General Manager and internal colleagues.
  • Sales presentations to customers and business communities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent combination of work and education).
  • Charismatic personality, exceptional work ethic, and minimum 5 years of industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft applications.
  • Combined excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
