Job Title: Public Sector Banking Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • To assist the Head of Government Banking in developing strategic banking relationships and managing key accounts of Ministries, other Government and Quasi-Government Institutions, and Pension Funds.
  • Support the Head of GB in managing relationships with Ministries and other Government entities, ensuring alignment with the bank's strategy and goals.
  • Explore potential new business opportunities, including mobilizing low-cost deposits and acquiring new client accounts, to achieve set targets.
  • Manage existing portfolios of Ministries, Government, Quasi-Government Institutions, and Pension Funds accounts, providing excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate with branch managers to ensure effective management of all accounts related to Ministries and Government entities, driving business growth.
  • Offer specialized financial services to Ministries and Government Employees, coordinating with Wholesale and Retail Banking, and liaising with Treasury on forex and interest rates.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Government Banking and head office departments to identify cross-selling opportunities for bank products and services, enhancing customer experience.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with Government Ministers and Departments, ensuring branches deliver required services.
  • Conduct regular visits to Ministries and Government institutions to review feedback and address complaints, driving customer satisfaction.
  • Keep the database of all Ministry and Government accounts updated, ensuring accurate records.
  • Serve as the primary contact point between the Bank and Government/Quasi-Government institutions, facilitating communication.
Requirements:
  • Diploma with at least 8 years of banking experience in related fields, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of relevant banking experience.
  • Strong sales and marketing skills, with excellent executive contacts and relationship management abilities.
  • Bilingual in Arabic and English, with effective communication and presentation skills, as well as proficiency in MS Office.
  • Leadership, analytical, and decision-making abilities, with a self-motivated and proactive approach.
