Technical Support Specialist for High-Performance Systems

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As an Onsite Service Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and restoring services related to assigned projects.

This is a technical role requiring a self-motivated engineer with broad technical experience, effective communication skills, and the ability to resolve complex issues. Flexibility to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Serve as technical L1 & L2 escalation point for troubleshooting application, system, and network issues related to the services provided by Optasia to assigned customer projects.
  • Take ownership of customer issues and resolve them within SLA targets.
  • Work on standby outside of standard hours to address system outages or degradation.
  • Collaborate with customer and internal technical teams to evaluate and resolve technical problems, minimizing customer impact during outages.
  • Follow escalation procedures for unresolved issues.
  • Act as a local Single-Point-of-Contact for Service Operations-related matters.
  • Participate in technical meetings as required.
  • Log and update technical tickets properly.
  • Assist with other projects as assigned.
  • Proactively seek process improvements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or similar.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL/Postgres, Linux, and Networking.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand complex systems.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (Nagios, Grafana, Kibana).
  • Familiarity with Docker and Atlassian tools.
